Diane Kurtz

Chairman and CEO

Diane Kurtz is a founding member of FLYTEgroup when the company was known as ‘The Conference Connection’. Having built the organization through successful meeting and event planning programs, along with collaborations in the hospitality and travel industry, Diane’s experience is recognized among industry leaders. A true leader, specializing in community development and multi-cultural communications, Diane has extensive experience as a speaker, trainer, and planner focusing on government relations, public-private partnerships, interfaith collaborations, and professional development. She has successfully planned and organized over 1500 meetings and events spanning over 30 years. Diane is the recipient of multiple awards and commendations on the local, national and international stage.

As Chairman and CEO of FLYTEgroup, her vision is to build bridges for international development and multi-cultural relations worldwide through successful collaborative practices between FLYTEgroup clients and vendors. Diane oversees the direction and business relationships that FLYTEgroup has developed since 1983 and provides project management direction for the team at FLYTEgroup.

Jim Fausel provides 23 years of operational and management experience in the aviation and hospitality sector to the FLYTEgroup team.

Since 2008, Jim has taken the reigns of this family run business and is responsible for managing the daily worldwide operation at FLYTEgroup, building upon the company’s global network of varied customers and hotel suppliers, providing customized worldwide travel solutions to a variety of global enterprises. After starting a career in airline Crew Resources in 1993, Jim ultimately worked his way up the ladder in the Airlines as a Pilot on the Boeing 757 and Airbus320 family of aircraft, finishing his career in Flight Operations Management for a Major US Airline. Jim has traveled to over 35 countries around the world building relationships with customers and suppliers ‘face to face’. This global travel experience, coupled with a personal relationship-based network of hotel industry partners, has been the cornerstone of FLYTEgroup’s significant growth in the marketplace since 2007. FLYTEgroup’s business development footprint has broadened to strategic regions of client operation in Europe the Middle East and Asia.

Working with professionals from around the globe, Jim realizes the importance of a strong multi-cultural business etiquette as an effective tool to grow trusted business relationships. His passion for growing these relationships is integral to driving dramatic savings to FLYTEgroup’s customers, and further, in driving new concentrated customer volume to our network of suppliers. This relationship-brokering is what sets FLYTEgroup apart from all others like us, and creates the two sided leverage necessary to satisfy our customers around the world. Jim believes in top-notch customer service, pro-activity, responsiveness and integrity. Jim is an active member of Meeting Professionals International as well as multiple travel industry organizations, and participates part-time in print and video commercials regionally, and lends his services as Master of Ceremonies to many corporate engagements.

Jim is a rated Airline Transport Pilot in the Beechcraft 1900, Boeing 737, 757/767 and Airbus 320 family.

Tom Chiodo

Vice President - Operations

Tom Chiodo oversees the FLYTEgroup Operations, including database management, revenue management, as well as client services and orientation. He has been involved in aviation operations management for over 18 years, having served in roles as Manager and Director of Flight Crew Scheduling, Crew Planning, Crew Accommodations, Training Scheduling, Labor Relations and Contract Negotiations for America West Airlines, US Airways, and Mesa Air Group. He received his undergraduate degree in Finance from Indiana University of PA, and attended Arizona State University’s graduate school of Economics.

David Duncan has more than 20 years of success in managing corporate group travel, Flight Crew Management and developing industry relationships as a fund raising and corporate travel specialist. David’s background, which includes a career as a major airline Captain, brings the spirit of cooperation and teamwork to our customers, and gives clients a well-traveled and educated perspective, along with unparalleled customer service experience. When FLYTEGroup needs to make connections around the world for customers’ corporate programs, whether it is for luxury golf travel, business jet charter or corporate fundraisers, we turn to David’s list of connections to add to our success recipe. A dedicated family man, worldwide traveler and business associate, David’s goals are to strengthen relationships and collaborate with global entities, ensuring success of worldwide travel programs that deliver exceptional results.

Jessica Long

Manager - Global Travel & Accounts

Jessica is based in our USA Operations office, Scottsdale, Arizona, and has lived in Phoenix, Arizona almost 17 years with her husband and daughter. With a background in Business Administration, Airline Scheduling, Pilot Training and Corporate Travel, Jessica focuses on FLYTEgroup’s U.S. clientele and travel accounts. Jessica oversees the booking and administrative functions for FLYTEgroup. In addition, she has the role of client relations liaison for our worldwide vendors and clientele.

Jessica’s expertise lies in Corporate Travel Planning, Airline Operations & Scheduling as well as Event Planning for our MICE business.

Winter Wood is our International Global Account liaison. Joining FLYTEgroup in 2009, Winter has expanded his role from operational support and administration, to worldwide business development and client relationship management. Winter is an active member of the Native American Tribal community and further develops opportunities to build upon travel programs for Indigenous peoples worldwide. Having traveled around the world multiple times visiting clients and conducting numerous hotel site-inspections, Winter has developed a trusted network of hotel resources for FLYTEgroup customers..
