Founded in 1983 by hospitality industry veterans Diane and Jim Fausel Sr., FLYTEgroup began as Global Conference Associates, a respected resource for global meeting and event planning. Jim, a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Certified Meeting Manager (CMM), had more than 3 decades of experience in planning and conducting events all over the world, allowing him to form deep connections with key people in the hospitality industry. Prior to his death in 2008, Jim Fausel Sr. also served as both a respected mentor to others in the hospitality and meeting planning industries and as an educator at Arizona State University, where he created and instructed the university’s first meeting management curriculum. Jim left a legacy of mentorship, service, knowledge, and above all, friendship in his professional and personal life. Honoring Jim Sr.’s legacy, Diane and Jim Fausel Jr. reinvigorated the company under a new name, FLYTEgroup with a renewed passion for assisting clients in navigating global hotel booking management.
